Dealing With Smelly Well Water

This post in in reply to a customer of mine who had a sulfur type smell in his tap water.  The odor originates from bacteria that can sometimes grow in the well if it has never been flushed out well or if it is allowed to sit unused for a long period of time.  Watch this video to see how to deal with it.

  2. And some aquafers just have hard sulfer water. We have had that water for 18 years. If you can afford a tank to spray the water into and pull your house water from, the smell is released at the tank and comes in to the house smelling fine. It's a gas that is released when the water hits the air. Some water softeners help.
